Glowing Green Smoothie (Dita Von Teese)

Ingredients:
1 cup cold Filtered Water
2 cups Spinach or Kale (chopped)
1 cup Romaine Lettuce (chopped)
1 Apple or Pear (cored and chopped)
1/2 medium Banana (cut in thirds)
1 tbsp. Lemon Juice
Ice (optional)

Directions
  1. Combine water, spinach or kale, and romaine lettuce into blender. Mix on low speed until well blended.
  2. Add lemon juice,  apple or pear, and banana on high speed.
  3. Add Ice and blend OR serve over ice.

Carrot, Apple Ginger Juice

Ingredients:
 
4 x Large Carrots
3 x Medium Apples (fuji)
3 inches Fresh Ginger

Add all ingredients into Juicer or Blender

Fresh Pineapple Strawberry Juice

Ingredients:

Pineapple Juice
Fresh Strawberries (quartered)
Rosemary Sprigs

Directions:


1. In a large pitcher, combine all ingredients to taste

Basil Lemonade (Real Simple Magazine)

hands-on time: 15 mins total time: 15 mins serves: 8

Ingredients:

1 cup Sugar
1 cup Fresh Basil leaves plus 8 sprigs for garnish
8 cups Lemonade
1 1/2 cups Water

Directions:
  1. Over med heat, bring sugar and 1 1/2 cups cold water to simmer in sauce pan
  2. Cook without stirring for 5 mins (until sugar dissolves)
  3. Remove from heat, add basil and let cool
  4. Strain the syrup into resealable container (discard solids)
  5. Pour 2-3 tsp of basil syrup into lemonade
  6. Garnish with extra sprigs
*syrup is good for 2 weeks if left in fridge
