Masa Cornbread (Chowhound)

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups Masa Harina
1/2 cup Flour
Two Eggs
Two tsp. Baking Powder
1 tsp. Salt
1 Tbsp. Sugar (brown, turbinado, white, honey, whatever)
1 1/2 cup of milk
1/2 stick of butter, softened


Directions:
  1. Mix dry ingredients.
  2. Mix half of butter (2 T) into dry ingredients
  3. Put the other half in a cast iron skillet in a 425 oven.
  4. Add eggs and milk to dry ingredients
  5. When butter in skillet is melted, spread out batter and bake until brown around edges and light brown areas on top ~20 min.
  6. Transfer to wire rack and cool
